ARFI Elastography
ARFI Elastography – Advanced Liver & Tissue Health Assessment
ARFI Elastography (Acoustic Radiation Force Impulse Elastography) is an advanced ultrasound-based imaging technique used to assess tissue stiffness, most commonly in the liver. It is a safe, non-invasive, and radiation-free method to help detect liver fibrosis, cirrhosis, and other chronic liver conditions without the need for a biopsy in many cases.
This test measures how fast sound waves travel through the tissue. Stiffer tissues (often due to scarring or fibrosis) will reflect waves differently than normal tissue. ARFI provides real-time results, helping doctors evaluate the severity of liver disease and guide treatment decisions.
At our centre, ARFI Elastography is performed using modern ultrasound equipment by trained specialists in a comfortable, hygienic setting. The procedure is quick, painless, and ideal for routine liver monitoring in patients with fatty liver, hepatitis B/C, alcohol-related liver disease, or other chronic liver conditions.
