3D/4D sonography is an advanced ultrasound technique that allows expecting parents to view clear and lifelike images of their baby in the womb. While traditional 2D scans show flat, black-and-white images, 3D ultrasound creates a three-dimensional image, and 4D ultrasound adds real-time movement, letting you watch your baby yawn, stretch, or smile. These scans are safe, painless, and radiation-free, making them a beautiful and reassuring experience during pregnancy. They are best performed between 24 and 32 weeks, when the baby’s facial features are more defined and movements are visible. At our centre, we use high-end 3D/4D machines to provide detailed visuals and an emotional bonding experience for the parents-to-be. These scans can also support early detection of structural anomalies, although they are primarily done for visualisation and bonding purposes.
